How Taqtek collects fuel and generator prices in Lebanon, and where the data comes from.

Taqtek is an independent site that shows fuel, gas and generator prices in Lebanon clearly and quickly, with a full price history.

The main source is the price tables and generator tariffs issued by the Ministry of Energy and Water. The record holds thousands of decisions since 2010.

When the official website is late, we use the same table as published by Lebanese media, and only publish a new price when more than one source agrees. We then check it against the official decision once it appears.

This site is not affiliated with the Ministry of Energy and Water or any official body. The information is for reference only; the official decision prevails.

    The fuel price table usually comes out on Tuesday and Friday.

    We follow what three Lebanese news outlets publish from the same table.

    No new price appears until at least two sources agree on it.

    Prices and charts update on their own, then we check them against the official decision.
